education, prevention, inspiration

We are inspired. God breathed. Together we want to inspire healthy choices, education, wellness, growth, community safety, faith, and hope in the youth we serve.

Inspire Youth Services is the preventation and education-focused branch of Options programming. Our hope is that youth never have to face the challenges of an unexpected pregnancy, *STBBIs, psychosocial insecurity, and other preventable outcomes. To this end, Inspire Youth Services seek to provide opportunities that will help youth understand their value and exercise their capacity to become all they can be.

Inspire Youth Services empower individuals aged 9 to 25, irrespective of gender, through a unique blend of holistic support, including prevention-focused education, entrepreneurial and resume-building opportunities, menstrual product access and female empowerment initiatives, and much more. Additionally, we seek to equip parents, teachers, and community members with knowledge and practical tools to better support the youth in their circle of influence.

Workshops

#EDUCATION

INSPIRE Workshops are designed to increase awareness and decrease risks related to sexual health and safety, human development, and healthy relationships. From anti-trafficking and self defense, to puberty and recognizing abuse, topics are chosen to create access to practical support that will make a life-changing difference for our community’s youth.

Educational Curriculums

#RESOURCES

Our educational curriculums deliver high-quality, government-compliant, youth-centric educational resources and presentations which assist teachers in meeting provincially mandated sexual education requirements. With a focus on body value, human development, and safety education, parents can feel comfortable their child is receiving age-appropriate, dignifying information that will prepare them to make excellent choices throughout their lifetime.

#LIFESKILLS

INTERACT WITH BABIES + HELP OUR COMMUNITY = AWESOME

We have designed a customized, bilingual, volunteer experience for young people in our community to acquire important work practice, lifeskills, volunteerism, and team participation, all while feeling GREAT knowing that help and support are being given to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. All this in a safe, non-threatening environment in the heart of Chateauguay.

Sian is not only knowledgeable in her field, with a vast array of pertinent nursing experience and teaching, but also offers genuine care and compassion to all she interacts with and supports.

"I want to use my skills and giftings as a nurse to serve the youth in our community. I want to be there for them as a guide, to be a non-judgemental voice for youth who are facing stigma."

CLIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Teen Volunteer Project

Sarah and Tabitha both lead other areas of Options programming, but give generously of their time to support young people as they ALSO give their time to serve our community. Whether it is to complete volunteer hours for school, or just to practice excellent citizenship, youth have the opportunity to serve in various capacities at Options, and Sarah and Tabitha are there to onboard, train, and celebrate them as members of the Options team.

"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." —Philippians 2:4

Self Defense Workshops

Sarah is the current champion of Options Self Defense classes, which are run at least annually. Though the first class Sarah coordinated was to benefit the young moms she works with, being educated in self defense skills for the prevention of violence is a valuable skill we are proud to offer all women in our community.
